Dr Timothy  Lees

Tim joined the ICRC as a Research Fellow in May 2010 to work on the research project ‘A microgeneration technology innovation system analysis of the UK housing development sector’.  Before this appointment, Tim was a Research Fellow working in the Centre for Education in the Built Environment, at Salford University, from January 2007 until May 2010.   During this time Tim was significantly involved with a number of projects which had industry engagement at their core, including the development of an industry-led MSc in Construction Management.  Tim has an MChem and PhD degree from the University of Hull and is in the final stages of completing an MSc degree in Project Management in Construction.  Tim’s research interests currently include innovation in construction focusing particularly on the understanding of the microgeneration technology innovation system within the housing development sector.

Tim is an active member of the CIB W089 group on Building Research and Education and is currently Assistant Director of Region VIII of the Associated Schools of Construction.
