Dr Chung-Chin Kao

Chung-Chin (Jim) trained as an Architect in Taiwan and worked in architectural practice for five years.

After obtaining his MSc in Construction Economics and Management from University College London in 1998 and his PhD from the University of Reading in 2004, Chung-Chin (Jim) joined The Innovative Construction Research Centre as a Research Fellow. His areas of expertise and research interests include architectural practice (e.g. design process, space planning, and briefing process), construction management (e.g. project management, procurement strategies, and firm management), knowledge management (e.g. knowledge transfer and knowledge creation theories), and qualitative research methods (e.g. interpretive research methodologies, case study and interview research skills).
