UK Construction Projects 1993-2002: Whole Population Data

The research involves statistical analysis of data provided by Emap Glenigan. This data describes every construction project in the UK that required planning permission. This work dovetails with a major research project on the Costs of Procurement in Construction, currently under way in the ICRC. In pursuit of that work, we have been offered a major data resource, and the purpose of this application is to enable us to make the most of the data that has been offered. By characterizing the market over the last ten years, we will be able to identify trends and work with Glenigan at providing better guidance to the UK construction industry about how the market looks and likely areas of change. We also intend to use this opportunity to examine other sources of data for adding to this unprecedented database of construction projects.
